Draft, analyze, and present with Microsoft Copilot is a free seven-module Microsoft Learn path on the prompt flows that come up daily across Microsoft 365 — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook. It opens with how Copilot grounds an answer in organizational data as opposed to the web, what enterprise data protection and sensitivity labels do, and a four-element framework for writing a prompt. A second module stays in Copilot Chat, working across files, meetings, chats, email, people and the web, before the path narrows to one application at a time. The five that follow take an application each: building a presentation from planning through delivery, drafting and editing documents from multiple sources, running structured meetings with real-time notes and recap, multi-step analysis and forecasting in a workbook, and triaging a high-volume inbox. Several modules introduce the task-specific agents — Idea Coach, Writing Coach, Facilitator and Analyst — that handle the longer jobs. The stated prerequisite is basic functional experience with Microsoft 365 services; around four and a quarter hours, self-paced.

The grounding module earns its place at the front — knowing when Copilot is answering from your own files and when it is answering from the web is the difference between a useful result and a confident wrong one. The agent coverage is the other draw, since Idea Coach, Writing Coach, Facilitator and Analyst handle the multi-step tasks a single prompt cannot. One thing to know: the Word and Excel modules are described as intermediate and advanced within an otherwise beginner path, so the later material moves faster than the opening.
