Introduction to Claude Tag is a free course from Anthropic for people who use Claude Tag, a beta product that brings Claude into a team's Slack workspace. Inside a channel, Claude works under its own account, has access to whatever tools the team has connected, and keeps a running set of notes about the channel that grows as people correct it. The course compares working with Claude in a direct message, a public channel, and a private channel, and explains when each one fits. It then shows how to correct Claude so the fix applies for everyone in the channel, set rules and a standing job for a channel, let Claude respond without a tag, and schedule recurring work. You take one task through from beginning to end, writing the request and reviewing what comes back, then give Claude something ongoing to look after and use a checklist to look back at your team's habits with it. It runs about two and a half hours across 11 lessons and ends with a quiz that earns a completion badge. To practice, you need Claude Tag installed in your team's Slack workspace and access to it in at least one channel.

Why we suggest this course

Worth taking if Claude Tag is available in your team's channels and you want to give it real work rather than one-off questions. The course is built on three habits: treat Claude as you would a colleague, do the work in the channel where teammates can see and pick it up, and widen its independence only after it handles a given kind of task well and consistently. In a shared channel, one person's correction changes how Claude works for everyone there, so these habits shape how the whole team works with it. One thing to know: the course is for people using Claude Tag; if you are the one setting it up for your organization, Anthropic points you to its admin setup guide first.
